Well, I'm quite convinced that he loves her. He'd die for her.
Willing to die for Himeko does not mean that he loves her, in particular when it comes to anime and manga. In anime and manga, people are willing to die for all sort of different reasons. In Saint Seyia, Seiya is also willing to die for his god hundreds of times. But does that mean Seiya loves her? Not really, I believe Seyia is more of dying for his belief, also for the responsibility he thought that he has in regards of protecting his god. Judging Oogami loves Himeko by saying that he would die for her, does not prove anything. Similar to Seiya, Oogami might be willing to die for Himeko because he felt that he has the responsiblity to protect her, or it can purely because he's happy for doing things this way. Or it may also because he fulfill his dream of becoming a hero by protecting and die for Himeko. |
