I assume that the loss of votes are due to 2 reasons. The troublesome voting methods, and the disappearance of participants. Quite some people left because the characters they love are no longer in the competition, so they don't care whatsoever happens to the rest. There have been some fake votes of course, but I don't think that's the main reason.

Just noticed that the support MADs for both Setsuna and Chikane are competing pretty intense at the moment. They're really putting a show up there, considering this's the crucial semi final round. I'm kinda being dragged into their temprerature rising intensity.

MAD is like all the supportive threads are made and kept to the very top place on main page by fans. I saw this word about 2 days ago. This's how i understood, you know like mad fans. lol. (just a thought. please pardon me in case of any confussion or offence occured)
To be honest, i'm really impressed and amazed by all the work and effort they put into it, in terns of expressing the love for their favourite charactors and supporting them all the way regardless day or night. Gotta admit it's kinda mad but amazing.
