Welcome back, friends from all around the world!  Do you still remember the Saimoe Yuri Competition held in yamibo last year?   With plenty of preparation, we'll have the 2nd annual contest beginning in 2 days!  Please continue to watch, talk, vote and contribute to this yearly fun event as before!

First I'll explain the general rules in the 1st post of this thread, then the special ones about the bonus votes in the 2nd. The schedule of the 1st round matches will be listed in the 3rd post.

1. Who can vote

A: The people who registered before  Aug 4th, 2007, OR people who have the bonus votes (in the 1st round only).  If you have multiple IDs, you can only vote with one of your IDs.

2. How to vote

A: There will be a voting thread for every group of matches. Both voting and replying to the thread with CHARACTER_NAME(ANIME_NAME) are required to be counted as one valid vote.   

3. When to vote

A: Check the schedule for the matches. Each day the voting will begin at 10:00am (GMT+8) and end at 10:00am the next day. (US west time is GMT-7, US east GMT-4， Eastern European Time (EET) GMT+3)

4. Where to look for the important updates

A: As before, most important threads will be sticked in Saimoe board, as well as the voting threads for the day. Be sure to check the icons and names for the candidates before voting. Of course, you can ask related questions in this thread.

Bonus Votes will be accepted if:

1. Original fan work is created after Aug. 4th 2007 and submitted 12 hrs before the match of target candidate. Original fan work includes but is not limited to: fan art, fan fiction, AMV/MAD, fan games. Translations, modified arts and snapshots are not qualified for bonus votes. It has to be ORIGINAL, as one found out not to be will have its consequences.

2. Please publish your fan work here in this forum. Submit it to the primary thread poster (the leader of corresponding anime group) or reply here in this English thread. The committee (4 Saimoe board masters) will evaluate it and announce the outcome at the time of the match.

3. The base standard of bonus votes is: fan fiction 1-4, fan art 1-8, AMV/ MAD 2-10. If marked as essence thread by all 4 board masters, there will be another 5 bonus votes on top of gaining max bonus votes.   

4. Participants will each receive 20 points bonus. For each bonus votes gained, there will be another 20 points bonus on personal accounts.

5. Punishment for unoriginal work discovered later will include a 10 times deduction of bonus votes gained earlier in the next round, -300 points on the ID, and disqualification of voting in Saimoe Yuri 2007.

6. Each fan work can only be used ONCE for bonus votes, and these rules are limited in the 1st round matches.

I have to agree with Hayashi-san that the grouping is in fact tearing my heart apart, having said that is mostly because of group 27 - Natsuki Kruga Vs. Satou Sei yamibohk04 first of all, plus the following below

Kurumi Momose Vs. Futami Ami
Miyako Vs. Futami Mami Vs. Kuroi Nanako
Rokuo/ Sayaka Suzuki Vs. Galatea

which are the first matches on the very first day of the competition. Oh.. why are you doing this to me God, why am I in love with so many charaters, Can't I just love one instead... (floating higher)

Hello Hayashi11, I am sorry that I replied so late that I had to merge your thread...
Let me explain.
I prefer just 1 English thread in Saimoe board, 'coz I have to browse through it everyday to make sure that I don't miss someone's submission of fan work. It also reduces the competition for the other main threads to be on top.   

As for being the official thread, as long as you all are discussing about Saimoe Yuri Contest, feel free to do so here. And bilingual people can update the others as soon as possible. I will later edit my posts in the first page and put the other rounds' information as the contest proceeds to the later stage, so that people can always see the most up-to-date schedule in the first page.

Feel free to open a chatting thread in the social board if it is non-SaiYuri related. I am sorry for the misunderstanding.
